I went to Edinburgh for three days to represent the Young European Movement (YEM) at the European Movement in Scotland's stall. I made some sketches whilst I was there.
The view from my hotel bedroom window was the most Edinburgh thing ever.
One of my Twitter followers informed me that this building used to be "Donaldson's School for the Deaf".

There was a lot of posing for photos with politicians, including Stephen Gethins MP...
And Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes...
And Ben MacPherson MSP.
Somewhat ironically I have been told to "tone down" the blue/EU star outfits for YEM events - The YEM branding is green and we didn't include the EU emblem anywhere on the leaflets I designed. However, the European Movement in Scotland are really keen on pushing the EU flags (since Scotland voted 63% Remain) - I'm coming to the conclusion that organisational politics are complicated and confusing.
Several people (including the Scotsman below) came up to me during the event and said that I looked "familiar" but they couldn't remember who I was - when I told them they replied "Oh I didn't recognise you without your EU star outfit". This was somewhat devastating - like my identity has been erased.
