I really hate drawing and cutting out the letters, but it's worth taking time over to make them neat.
Getting the lettering straight and evenly spaced is always the trickiest part of the process.
I enjoy the incongruity between the pink sparkly princess ballerina pattern on the fabric and the slightly loaded, dark and provocative message.
A few moments before Boudicca started choking on a button she attempted to swallow... She was banished from the room afterwards.
The buttons, in little cloud-like culsters, really added something to this textiles piece.
I think the headless ballerina is my favourite part of this wall hanging.
After hanging this up in my hallway for a couple of weeks Boudicca took a disliking to it and distressed the fabric. It seems somehow appropriate, but I've taken it down and put it awy to prevent further claw damage.
